ases. All formless twitters.

7:17. see single Whitestripe [[1 check mark above]]. Alone. Silent. Feeding in low scrub. Both open & thick.

Sun is finally beginning to reach this area.

[[margin in red]] Brun [[/margin]]
Single Brun [[1 black check mark above]] back feeding pink flowers same tree as before. Uttering lots of song phrases. Less formless than before. "Zeewee zeewee [[jagged hand drawn line diminishing near line on paper]]" sort of thing.

In nearby bushes there is a pair of Basileuterus [[2 check marks above]] XLIX (definitely identified). Uttering lots of R's. Quite like those of Basileuterus XLI but apparently lower pitched. R's overlap phrases of Brun [[1 check mark above]]. The warblers pass thru the base of the tree in which the Brun is feeding. The two species apparently ignore one another.

It looks as if Basileuterus XLIX is [[underlined]]not[[/underlined]] important in mixed flocks. Possibly why it is so dull colored?

The Brun twice attacks a hummingbird.

7:33 See single Whitestart [[1 check mark above]]. Alone.

See pair of Orange [[2 check marks above]] heads on scrub. Uttering R's. Alone.

Well well! A single [[underlined]]bonariensis[[/underlined]] ^[[1 check mark above]]flies by. Dull plumage. Followed, in flight, by a single [[underlined]]Basileuterus XLI[[/underlined]] [[1 check mark above]]!! Then the warbler turns back, while the tanager continues on.

CORRECTION: The Whitestart-like song which I thought was uttered by a conebill-like bird earlier this morning is, in fact, uttered by a Whitestart. Usual species.

The single Whitestart is now singing more frequently. From a variety of exposed perches. Always alone.

Again come across single Whitestripe. Same place as before.
