oup. Feeding edge of thick scrub also. Furnariids [[?]] ranging 1 - 6 ft. above ground. Flycatcher sometimes coming down to the ground itself, sometimes flitting up as high as 10 ft. Both species silent.

Then rain comes down like crazy!

During the rain, and while I am trying to write the above account, the [[underlined]]vigroisistus[[?]][[/underlined]] join the furnariid [[?]]-flycatcher group. The warblers come down to the furnariid [[?]] level. Apparently feeding same places, presumably on same things. I must have seen at least 6 cases of an individual warbler joining an individual furnariid[[?]], and at least 6 cases of an individual furnariid [[?]] joining an individual warbler. All fairly silent. In the meantime. the Oesthera [[?]] is flitting about, fly catching on the outskirts (usually to the rear) of the warbler furnariid [[?]] group. Also silent. (Playing much the same role as whitestarts in other flocks)

This Oesthera [[?]]is the only or usual species of the genus joining mixed flocks in this area. (I have, of course, seen many other cases.)

[[margin in red]] B&C [[/margin]]
When the [[underlined]] vigroisistus[[?]][[/underlined]] joined the furnariid [[?]], they apparently left the conebills behind. I can hear several fairly long'; soft; rapid, CC-like Twitters coming from area where conebills must be. Presumably uttered by one or both of them.

After some minutes, the [[underlined]]vigroisistus[[?]][[/underlined]]- furnariid[[?]] group (and probably the Oecthecca[[?]]) move back in the direction of the conebills. Then I see the warblers and the conebills feeding close together. Frequently only a few inches apart. No sign of hostility. Both species silent.

[[margin in red]] Myst [[/margin]]
Then the fog comes in thick and it is impossible to work for a while.

During the period in which I was watching this flock, I could hear both Firebellies and Mysts, occasionally; not too far away. Neither species showed any inclination to join the flock.
