22nd June 1932. A warm day, but mainly cloudy! Spent morning (10 till 12 noon) in Glensink (Glencullen) above Enniskerry, Co. WI. [[strikethrough]] where J.A.J. Palmer took one [[underlined]] Tenthredo [[/underlined]] [[insertion]] [only Tenthredella temula! AWS. 24.6.32] [[/insertion]] on the 18th June. [[/strikethrough]] Very many insects seen [[strikethrough]] including one [[underlined]] Tenthredo [[/underlined]] (which not captured) but no doubt absence of sun prevented me seeing more [[/strikethrough]]
[[underlined]] Bombus agrorum & lucorum [[/underlined]] [[strikethrough]] [[2 virgin female symbols]] [[/strikethrough]] [[2 female symbols]] (& ? [[2 virgin female symbols]].)

[[underlined]] Gorytes mystaceus [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]], & 1 fresh [[female symbol]] on bracken.
[[underlined]] Nysson spinosus [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & 1 fresh [[female symbol]]. [[underlined]] Odynerus parictinus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]].
[[underlined]] Tenthredella livida [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] mesomelas [[/underlined]] abundant.
[[underlined]] Strongylogaster lineatus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]].
[[underlined]] Athalia [[/underlined]] several seen.

[[insertion]] Some insects taken in wood but most [[strikethrough]] around [[/strikethrough]] below ruins of old house in open glades above the wood! [[/insertion]]
[[underlined]] Delomerista [[/underlined]] (= Pimpla) 1 [[male symbol]], [[strikethrough]] but ? where taken [[/strikethrough]] on oak near river below ruins of house!

[[underlined]] Alomyia debellator [[/underlined]] red [[male symbol]]. [[underlined]] Ichneumon terminatorius [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[male symbol]]. Hypomecus IV-annulatus ? 1 [[female symbol]]

Bug. [[underlined]] Pycnopterna striata [[/underlined]] taken just above iron gate!

24th June 1932. Very warm & soft, strong W. wind, but considerable sun. [[Clegs?]] very attentive! 10 till 12.0 noon. Glencullen, above Enniskerry, Co. WI. as on 22/6/32, but on this day all collected between iron gate at top of wood & the ruined house.
[[underlined]] Bombus agrorum & lucorum [[/underlined]] seen. [[underlined]] Andrena fucata [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] seen on bracken; but ? why.
[[underlined]] Gorytes mystaceus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] & [[2 female symbols]]; 1 [[female symbol]] seen visiting "cuckoo-spits" on bracken from the largest of which she hauled out the [[underlined]] Aphrophora [[/underlined]] larva, apparently stung it & then deliberately threw it away. ? was it too young.
