31st July 1932.  Very warm, strong W. wind, thunder in afternoon, heavy showers to N. but only skiffs with us. 11.30 AM till 4.30 pm.
Meeting of the Waters, Avoca, Co. WI.
1 = taken morning on left bank of Avonmore & above the Castle Howard bridge.
2 = taken in afternoon : some on railway &c, some on [[underlined]] Angelica [[/underlined]] beside railway on right bank of river above said bridge.
3 = taken in aft. on left bank of river above said bridge & below next above over river. [[line indicating insertion]] i.e. on left bank below 2nd bridge on ry above Castle Howard gate! [[/insertion]] Insects from 2 & 3 not separated!

[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & [[2 virgin female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. lapidarius [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]].
[[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. muscorum [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbls]] & [[2 virgin female symbols]] on [[underlined]] Erica cinerea [[/underlined]] &c.
