[[underlined]] Pteronidea [[/underlined]] pavida ? [[2 male symbols]] & [[2 female symbols]] taken with finger off a [[underlined]] Salix [[/underlined]] bush at the harbour, where many young larvae.
[[underlined]] Pontania [[/underlined]]  galls on above Salix in dozens, looking like green berries where they had been avoided by the [[underlined]] Pteronidea [[/underlined]] larvae of spring brood of above species.
Black sawfly taken on same Salix.
Pimpla ? [[female symbol]] on carrot along coast

10th August 1932. Very warm, damp & mainly sunless. 11.30 till 12.45 noon.  Sand dunes & dry stream bed at Finner, E. of Bundoran, Co. ED.

[[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. lapidarius [[/underlined]] [[2 virgin female symbols]], very small.
[[underlined]] Mellinus arvensis [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] abundant on thistle.
Several small icks, including 2 [[2 female symbols]] Pezomachus taken in dunes; the rest with [[underlined]] Mellinus [[/underlined]] on thistles by stream bed.
[[underlined]] Orgilus obscurator [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] Bracon fulvipes [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]].
[[underlined]] Rhogas irregularis [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]].

10/8/32 cont. Afternoon wet (drizzle): evening very warm & still, dull. At 8.30 to 9.0 PM found stone walls on cliffs beyond the West End, Bundoran, ED. crawling with beetles & here also took one small slender ick, which proved to be a [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Nematomicrus tenellus [[/underlined]]!
