From the Royal Botanical Expedition to New Granada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Botanical_Expedition_to_New_Granada ; New Granada in that era covered a wide swathe of territory in South America. The Hortus Botanicus Matritensis is the Real Jard??n Bot??nico in Madrid, Spain, but presumably this is a specimen from the gardens of the Vice Regent of New Grenada, a former province now part of multiple countries in the Northern part of South America. This collection is mentioned as being from South America in a municipal document produced by the city of Geneva in 1936: _Compte rendu de l'administration municipale pendant l'ann??e 1935_ (Geneva, Tribune. p. 110).
