The Berwyns are a mountain range in Northern Wales. The village of Llandderfel is presumably the one still in Gwynedd. 'Pont-cum buddo' is possibly Pant Y Bedw ('Birch Hollow'?), though a corresponding location in the Berwyns remains to be found.
