Upon motion duly made and seconded, Mr. Thomas Roberts was elected Secretary. Mr. R. F. Snell was elected Assistant Treasurer and Mr. E. K. Burnett, Assistant to the Director, was authorized to sign checks on behalf of the Museum.

A Regular Meeting of the Trustees was held on February 1, 1944.

The Chairman stated that, pursuant to the provisions of Article IV of the Foundation Deed, he had, since the last meeting, appointed Mr. Hugo Kohlmann as a Trustee to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. Federic K. Seward. He further stated that Mr. Kohlmann had accepted his appointment as such Trustee, and on behalf of the Trustees welcomed Mr. Kohlmann to the Board.

Mr. Roberts presented his resignation as Secretary which, on motion duly made and seconded, was accepted.

On motion duly made and seconded, Mr. Hugo Kohlmann was elected Secretary, and the following resolution was unanimously adopted:

RESOLVED that Hugo Kohlmann, as Secretary, be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to sign checks of this institution jointly with any one of the persons named in the resolution of this Board adopted on December 7, 1943.
