[[underlined]] WAR ACTIVITIES [[/underlined]]

Many inquires have been received from Service men from all over the country. These were answered promptly and as fully as possible.

We have also answered many inquiries coming through the American Red Cross, the United Service Organizations, and the Office of War Information.

We have admitted service men during all hours of the day, several groups of them having visited the Museum under guidance of uniformed Red Cross and American Women's Volunteer Services representatives.

The use of a portion of the Annex grounds by the Air Warden of Sector 8, Zone 1, 45th Precinct, Mr. Howard Gordon, Sector Commander, was granted again this year. The 1943 garden was most successful and there is every reason to believe the ground will be even more productive this year.

The Museum staff has purchased on a Payroll Deduction plan, $2,300.00 (redemption value) of War Savings Bonds Series E from April 1, 1943 - March 31, 1944.
