[[underlined]] SIZE OF COLLECTIONS [[/underlined]]

There have been added to the collections during the past fiscal year, 3,705 specimens, and there are now in the entire collection catalogue entries running consecutively to 214,840, an increase during the year of 1821.

[[underlined]] DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL ANTHROPOLOGY [[/underlined]]

The Department has been enriched by a fine collection of skeletal material from CayugaCounty, New York, more specifically the general vicinity of Genoa, New York.

The material was collected by Mr. D. Sands Titus, and presented to the Museum by Mrs. Frederick Allen on October 21, 1949. 

This material comprises the following specimens: 

4 individual crania (skulls and mandibles): 1 male, 3 females. Fair to good state of preservation. 

3 individual mandibles: 1 male, 2 females. Fair to good state of preservation.

1 pair of humeri (apparently male). Well preserved.

3 stray humeri: 1 left, adult, 1 right, adult, 1 adolescent. Fair state of preservation.

4 maxillary fragments (preserved for their dentitions)

A complete, apparently female, skeleton, early mature. Fair to good state of preservation. The skull shows a bipartite Inca bone; the right humerus a slight callus formation of the shaft, indicating an early fracture.
