Saw sort of birch bark basket for a baby, and [[underlined]] hoods [[/underlined]] of tanned moose skin for the first time. All hands have the dentalium ornament through the nose from babes up. Give all the women in the villge 2 needles apiece as a present. Get a man to go up with us in the place of the handsome young fellow who stops here. Not a particle of meat to be got here. Hoops some carved [[image]] round neck & arms, beaver teeth small ermine skins, as ornaments knives of their own manufacture.
