16  Went on a visit to the Museo National on the Zoological Park.  The museum is a mixed affair of Painting, historical & war trophies & busts of heroes.  Most of it however is Inca & Indian relics & articles.  There are many jars & pottery of various designs of Inca age.  Also much cloth, mummies & skulls & feather work.  One case is filled with Kipus or knotted cords ^[[used]] as a recorder for history by the Incas.  The cords are arranged in a circle about a small ring and are in 2 or 3 dull colors.  The Indian tribes are chiefly referred to the Campos & the Machiganga as a name is not used.  Some 6 tribes are named & arrows & bows as well as paddles
