400m andessus de la mer = 400 metres above the sea. Locality might be Caiti which is in both Bolivia & Angola. I think it might be New Caledonia but can't verify as the l'Exposition Coloniale was an exhibition in Paris in 1831 of things from the French Colonies, or which New Caledonia was one. The botanist "Paucher" collected in New Caledonia. JKB: "Taiti" = Tahiti
