Health good & wounds still improving hope soon to be able to go to my Regiment Quite busy on the afternoon moving the wounded & Sick men or rather separating them moved from No 1 Tent to No 8. [[/preprinted]] Raining hard the weather pleasant Inspection by Dr Trenor of Quarters at 10 AM continued rain hard the entire day & Evening All quiet around the Tents. Did not go to Church - on account of the Rain being two severe but spent the day Reading & writing to friends at Home written a Letter to Miss S.E.A. & Cousin Andrew. A portion of Wheeler's Cavalry made a dash at the Ferry & reported to have crossed
