[[/preprinted]] Morning Cloudy Rained at Nine A M but cleared off shortly after, & was clear the remainder of the Day the Doctor busy making out a detail for the Regiments. Lieut. Bean arrived from the Head with a Boat Loaded the things & started for Charleston several of the Boys of the Regt. went with him but the Doctor would not consent to my going hope though in a few days to be able to go [[end page]] [[start page]] [[preprinted]] THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 1865. [[/preprinted]] The morning Blustery though pleasant. All quiet around the tents nothing transpiring worth speaking of clouded over about Noon & rained about 2 P.M. & throughout the remainder of the afternoon written a Letter to Sergt Jones Shorter G.B. Lewis my Father & Brother. cleared up about dusk & was quite cold all the Evening
