The morning clear & chilly. though the sun made its appearance early the wind made it quite disagreeable. a Letter form Sergt Shorter the Boys in the company all well. in the afternoon not feeling very well spent the time in bed Nothing New from the front all quiet around the Hospital. Late in the evening the 102. Band was in the vicinity of the tents & played some fine music & also sang the Mocking Bird

The morning clear & pleasant. the sun made its appearance early & it was pleasant the most part of the Day. after Breakfast & the usual attendance at Roll call I went to Guard Mount & listened ^[[to]] the Band of the 102 Regt which played some fine music. while absent from the Hospital heard that the 55th Mass. Regt had gone to Georgtown S.C. on an expedition from Jas Id
