the morning clear & Pleasant taken two Quinia Powders early after which I felt some better. still talks of Inspection though at 1 PM no Inspecting officers had made their appearance at 4½ PM the Inspecting officer came & after a most thorough Inspecting pronounced everything in capitol order both in the Wards & Units Received from Lt Col Fox my commission & order to be mustered as 2nd Lt in the 55th Mass Vol Inftry Regt which I showed to Dr. Way & he promised to give it his attention

the morning fair & the weather pleasant Inspection in front of Ward "A" by the asst surg in charge of the Division. the men complimented by the Inspecting officer at Genl Inspection yesterday for their neatness & soldierly appearance the asst surg in charge assured all that he would always endeavor to do all his power for their comfort while his orders were obeyed but unless they were offenders would be punished severely
