the morning fair & appearances for a warm day favorable, which it really was. & I must say it was unpleasant nothing transpiring through the day worthy of mention. enjoying the time well eating Blackberries & strawberries & milk in the Evening several of the 54" Detachment came over & spent the evening till Roll call very pleasantly in conversation

the morning Beautiful & the day throughout very warm & unpleasant news from the Regiment by the Qr Master Sergt who came after the officers Baggage that was left at  Charleston [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] the Regt at Summerville & report says they are doing Provost daily there and are likely to remain there some time two.
