the morning clear & pleasant after Breakfast taken a short walk. met up with a friend & was persuaded to go to Mount Pleasant where I spent the Day very pleasantly in the society of quite a number of Ladies & Gents returned to Charleston at 8 P.M. Mrs Parker had returned from [[strikethrough]] Charleston not [[/strikethrough]] Summerville when I reached house.

the morning clear & pleasant at 7 A.M. left Charleston for Orangeburg S C at which place I arrived at 2 P.M. & from there I rode to camp & reported to the comdg officer of the Regt. & was ordered to report to the comdg officer of Co "K" for duty.
