This morning clear though warm. The Rev M Boules post-chaplain at Orangeburg preached to this Regiment-at-10 a.m. in the camps. I did not go to hear him but those who did speak well of it, The day clear throughout but extremly warm late in the afternoon it clouded over & Rained for a short-while

This morning fair & pleasant & still very warm in the afternoon. it Rained hard about half hour after after which it began to hail & hailed for awhile quite smart & some of the largest hail that I have seen for quite awhile.
