Dear Sir: 
  Below please [[underlined]] find reports [[/underlined]] of the Department [[underlined]] of Ethnology [[/underlined]] for the months of April and May, 1886.
  During these two months the force has consisted of Miss. Latham, Lieut. Bolles, Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Hough. Lieut. Bolles has finished up his work on the Eskimo collection and has taken his leave for the torpedo station at Newport. Miss. Latham has commenced the work of systematically labeling material as it is put on exhibition. On account of pressure
