Howard has ordered supplies for Hyde, and requests that assistance be given to the lower part of Beaufort Co. Forwards Petition of Revt E.M. Forbes that the Bureau furnish two schools at New Berne N.C. with Benches, Writing desks, Black Boards & Stores. Recommends as the superintendent asked for , is for Schools for whites, and there is no precedent for granting it, that it therefore be not granted.
