Under alpha Tauri, or [[strikethrough]] perhaps [[/strikethrough]] a little beyond. Not so far as alpha Orionis. To be put in intermediate group if it is made.

A.G.C. 1924 1h 52. m zeta [[subscript]] 2 [[/subscript]] Hydri 4537
Under alpha Bootis. w 4227.0 weaker. eta [[superscript]] 1 [[/superscript]] Hydri is too poor on this plate. Are there others?

On plate 5008, eta [[subscript]] 1 [[/subscript]] Hydri appears a first type star.

gamma Crucis is adopted as typical star for 3rd type group.
Plate 3982 shows new bright band slightly fainter than I.
6369 shows strong contrast -, a marked diminution in light at 4317.
4227.0 is very strong. As wide if not a little wider than in beta Grucis. The absorption ^[[edges]] at 4762 & 4954 are seen, but the spectrum ends almost abruptly at 4954. It is seen very faintly a little beyond towards the red. This plate is probably underexposed giving the strong contrast and faint bands.
3989 shows less contrast and gives the typical points. It looks very much like alpha Orionis, except that the H lines are weaker and 4227.0 stronger.

Slightly beyond alpha Orionis?
