Measure of dark line in extreme end of greater wave-length in alpha & beta Cruis, beta Centauri lambda Scorpii and alpha Muscae. This line has somewhat shorter wave-length than the D lines of sodium in 2nd and 3rd type stars, as is seen by superposition upon alpha Scorpii. epsilon Scorpii and alpha Tucanae all showing the D sodium lines. In order to measure this line, the plates showing it must be in succession superposed [[on?]] 48729 alpha Scorpii, which shows the D lines of sodium separate
