Dear Sir:

I have the honor to send you my report for March as curator of the Department of Ethnology.

All of the time of my force that could be spared from the necessary work of the Department has been expended in changing the exhibition of West Hall so as to bring the Ethnic groups in West Hall and the technic groups in East Hall. In the former hall the northeast corner has been reserved for a general exhibition of types of mankind. Opposite to this will be the northwest coast of A-
