Mr. Stewart Culin presented a number of specimens illustrative of gambling. 

Mr. Henry Balfour sent a set of sections of compound bows, showing structure of four great varieties of this weapon. 

A collection illustrating the rapidly disappearing western cowboy and the cattle industry also Indian curios and a large series of Mormon photographs was purchased from Lewis Engel (Buckskin Lew). These specimens are likely to prove of increasing interest with time.
 
Mr. Edward Lovett sent a number of ethnological objects among others an old clan bagpipe and two "King Alfred time measuring candles."

Dr. W. L. Abbott sent as a gift to the museum 41 photographic negatives taken around Mt. Kilimanjaro.
