    Mr. Sweeny superintended the entire removal of our study collection from the balcony, previous to the construction of new cases. He has also commenced to mount the African material. 

    Mr. Hawley has been assigned to my department for the Chicago Exposition. During this month eh has been able to do little more than select material and give orders for cases, screens etc. 

   Mr. Mills finished the figure of Jerry, the Angola boy and has modeled Eskimo heads for the Chicago Exposition. 
 
    Mr. Chandlee has made drawings of African material to illustrate a paper on Mr. Abbott's and Mr. Chatelaine's collections. 

   Mr. Berger has been assigned to Mr. Wilson, but assisted Mr. Chandlee some days on African things. 

    Mr. Tracy spent the month collecting literature for a work on the arts of the North American Aborigines. 

    Mr. Shindler has about finished the type portraits
