not done any work in my department since Dr. Goode's departure.
At Professor Langley's request I have continued to give duty to Mr Pom K. Soh on the mat[[strikethrough]]t[[/strikethrough]]erials from the Extreme Orient, for which he is specially qualified. You will be pleased to hear that Mrs. Hemenway, 40 Mt. Vernon St., Boston has purchased for a large sum the Keam collection and that it will be deposited in the National Museum. This step is due to the Courtesies accorded Mr. Fewkes, who represents Mrs. Hemenway, in studying material already in hand.
