catalogue of this collection was published by Mr. Culin. This struck me very favorably as a plan for enlisting the cooperation of great numbers of persons in Washington who have beautiful things to exhibit.

During the rest of the month the curator's time has been divided between museum work and World's Fair, so that little time is left for continuing his researches in ethnology.
