[[preprinted]] UNITED STATES NATIONAL MUSEUM UNDER DIRECTION OF THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION WASHINGTON [[/preprinted]]

you can readily see that my museum staff were of no use to me, whatever, in my work of detail in my office, and scientific work was out of the question.
But that difficulty is remedied now by the addition of Mr. Turnbul to do Mr. Hough's work and Mr. Kepler Hoyt to help me in my office. Both of them are all that I could desire and I am better fixed than ever.
My World's Fair people are all faithful and have kept steadily at their several employments. I shall call upon them less in future to help me out in museum work.
