Gentlemen:

I have your letter stating that you would like to subscribe to the Monthly Bulletin of the Carnegie Institute.

I am sorry to say that we have not yet inaugurated a monthly bulletin such as is published in some of the institutions of this kind. I have on my desk at this moment some material giving figures and suggestions in regard to the establishment of such a publication. We have all been so busy of late that it has been difficult to find time to take the subject up definitely. It is my impression, however, that we shall arrive at the stage of publishing a bulletin perhaps in the near future, and when this is done it will be a very pleasant thing to place your name on the list as the first subscriber.

Thanking you for your communication, I am,

Very truly yours,
