WJ [[checkmark]] May 12th 1922 Prof. A. Chatain, 629 Woodland Park Chicago, Ill. Dear Mr. Chatain,- I just received two letters from Mr. Levasseur in reference to Mr. Stout's pictures, and I enclose herewith copies. Mr. Levasseur gives you prices for various proofs of the Corot engraving, which can be ordered by mail. He also says he has Cent Chefs_d'Oeuvre offered to him for Fra. 800,--, which should be reserved by cable if purchase is desired until the remittance can reach him. This is the book where the Fromentin is illustrated. Kindly let me know what I shall do, and if anything is ordered, a remittance should accompany the order. I have no doubt that Mr. Lavasseur has well understood the descriptions I gave him. Hoping to hear from you, Very truly yours,
