I received the good news that you expect to reach New York towards the fifteenth of this month I regret I will not have the pleasure to welcome you at your arrival in New York. but I hope I may have the opportunity later on I wish to hear of your trip in Paris. During your absence I have devoted my time to an [[underline]] enormous [[/underline]] sale which is now partly terminated very satisfactory. Mr. Stout and others customers of high importance are all in California but expect their return within the next three weeks and as Mr Stout probably will be in N.Y at that time for few days I may make the trip Best regards to you & yours very sincerely A.
