Dear Mr. Gunsaulus,
Owing to my long absence from this country I did not know that reverses had come into your life and I deeply regret to hear that such has been the case.
Let me, however, [[know?]] that your interest in the best manifestations of art, even if absolutely platonic, still exist and always will exist.
Your recitation is such that your name is always associated in my mind in connection with everything pertaining to art so that I very sincerely wish you to feel that I would be delighted and honored
