This was a great relief because it enabled him, by means of racks, to arrange the unit boxes coming from Chicago after the manner of books or a letter file so that any one of them could be handled in a moment. A great deal of material sent to Chicago was installed in old-fashioned boxes with paper bottoms and it will be necessary gradually to withdraw the specimens from these boxes and place them in the regular cases where such things are kept.

In a few words, the collections at the close of this fiscal year were all cared for in some way or another.
