6. WHAT EXPLORATIONS (1) BY THE MUSEUM AND (2) UNDER OTHER AUSPICES, HAVE RESULTED IN ENRICHING THE COLLECTIONS UNDER YOUR CARE:

The most important exploration that has enriched the Ethnological collection is that of ^[[J]] Dr. Walter Fewkes, in Arizona. ^[[30341]] Mr. Mooney made a collection of specimens to illustrate the various phases of Kiowa life. No other explorations for this Department have been made. 

This Department is also under obligations to the Hon. W. W. Rockhill, Assistant Secretary of State, who on various occasions, has utilized his opportunities for the purpose of securing specimens for our Museum for which the thanks of this Department are due to him
