The song Sparrow has a white line over the eye. some instead of the white there and on the chest are a dark buff. I saw one of each kind. I had crossed Fisk's pasture and was on Doughertys land by the same old ditch where I saw them. The ditch banks are covered with nettles on his land. Farther on I started up two Swamp Sparrows.
