Their backs were greyish brown penciled with fuscous and vinaceous. belly white; lower breast dotted with fuscous. upper breast [[insertion]] with [[/insertion]] a blackish streak across it. sides vinaceaous. line from bill to eye and extending to ear black. fore part of crown black half ring on neck black. tuft of feathers on each sides of the head black.
