This afternoon I went down to the ravines.  The Red Head was very shy. He talked and bobbed at me frantically and flew around. away there he was again.Went over in J. Hacketts grove. I saw a female [[good guess?]]Downy woodpecker on a limb. I watched it a while.  A Red-Head flew up just then and the Downy was afraid and flew away. These woods were alive with birds. Some Redpolls were feeding down on a slope.
