March 30, Friday.

This morning before I went to school I hung out some more suet on the live elm by the maple. The ground is covered with snow but the air is warm. Just as I got to the school grounds I heard a Killdeer calling down by the river. I like to hear its ringing call. It sounds so wild and untamable.
