Dr F.D. Patterson, President
Tuskegee Institute
Tuskegee, Alabama

My Dear Doctor Patterson:

As an Alumnus of Tuskegee Institute, it was with regrets that I learned of your plans to leave Tuskegee. However, the Foundation is to be congratulated upon choosing you for this new assignment.

We recount with pride the achievments of your efforts at Tuskegee, for the institution itself, for the race in general and for humanity at large. It is fortunate for us that you have chosen to continue your connections with the United Negro College Fund.

For your future success and happiness in your new endeavor you have my very best wishes and prayers.

Sincerely yours,
