[[preprinted]] HOLLIS F. PRICE 825 WALKER AVENUE MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE [[/preprinted]] March 11, 1953. Dr. F D Patterson Tuskegee Institute Alabama. Dear Pat: We will miss you from Tuskegee Institute and the leadership which you have given all of us in this section. I do feel, however, that the post to which you are going will continue to make it possible for us to keep in fairly close touch with you. Furthermore I suspect you will have more time to think of the larger implications of the task in which we are engaged. It is not mine to pass judgement on your action, but as your friend, I believe you made the right decision. Your experience will enable you to consider the whole problem of education in the south in larger focus and this also needs doing badly. My kind regards to Catherine and Fred Jr. Sincerely, [[signed]] Hollis [[/signed]] Hollis
