Tuskegee Institute, Alabama

Dear Sir:

Just recently you were instrumental in securing a grant of some 15 acres of land from the Board of Trustees of Tuskegee Institute to be used as a site on which we shall place a new high school. I am writing specifically at this time to express the keep appreciation of the High School Community for this gift.

However, as I write there comes to my mind the memory of the many evidences of warm friendship you have had for our work here through the years. To me it has been more than an official gesture, but has carried with it a personal interest in the success of the work here at the High School. If you will recall, I made my first visit to your office some nine years ago at the invitation to assume the responsibility of the work here.

It has been most gratifying to me to have the feeling, from that day, that I have your support in this work. It has been a source of complete gratification to me and a challenge to do my best.

All of us at the High School wish for you and your family the benediction of God wherever you go and whatever work you engage.

                         Sincerely yours,
     [[signaure]] K.B. Young [[/signature]]
