^[[symbol for paragraph]] [[underlined in red]] F.G.Galbraith, Bainbridge, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. --- [[/underlined in red]] ^[[1 m]] Collection of relics found on the surface near Bainbridge: Flakes of porphyry, jasper, quartzite, and slate, trimmed flakes, rude and leaf-shaped implements, arrow and spear-heads, chipped celts with ground cutting edges, 1 chisel (small), grooved axes, large unfinished maul, 1 grinding stone, notched sinkers, fragments potstone, clay vessels and sherds, and 1 paint stone. --- ^[[ rectangle]] Collection from Red Hill Cave, near Bainbridge: Fragments of animal bones and teeth, 1 rude stone implement, arrow and spear-heads, fragments of pottery, and a shell ornament. --- ^[[rectangle]] Collection from Haldeman's shell-heap, 2 miles south of Bainbridge: Jaws, bones, and teeth of animals, fragments of a human skull, fragments of quartz and other stone, fragments of pottery and of shells. --- ^[[rectangle]] Collection from Northumberland, Lancaster, Perry and York Counties: 28 grooved axes, 6 polished celts, 1 cutter (chipped), 1 pestle, 1 mortar, 1 moccasin-last, 1 cup stone with cavities on both sides, 3 unfinished ceremonial weapons, 4 small stone sculptures, 1 stone ball, and 1 hematite paint-stone. A number of the axes show the oblique groove often characterizing Pennsylvanian specimens of this kind. The moccasin-last is a remarkable specimen---a natural formation modified by pecking.
