Evans, New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York [[/underlined in red]] --- ^[[1 m]] Collection of Peruvian relics: 1 bronze mace-head, (star-shaped), 1 do. spoon with ornamented handle, 4 do. figures (human), 1 small group of 3 figures (human) 1 of bronze and 2 of gold, and 2 silver figures (human).  In addition: 1 small terra-cotta head from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico.

Smith, Tuscaloosa Ala[[strikethrough]]bama[[/strikethrough]]--- ^[[1 m]] [[/underlined in red]] Casts of animal shaped pipe and engraved stone plate, from Hale County, and  of scraper-like implement, from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The originals, on exhibition at the University of Alabama, were loaned, with other specimens, through the agency of our Mr. Smith, and the casts were made in the National Museum. The material of the pipe is pale-gray limestone, and that of the engraved plate, gray sandstone with particles of mica. Both were found near mounds at Carthage.  The scraper-like implement is also composed of sandstone with mica, and was found in Tuscaloosa County.

Collections received the past year: 1 large stone mortar, found fifty years ago in a creek, [[strikethrough]] five [[/strikethrough]] ^[[5]] miles from Blount's Springs, Blount County Alabama. Collection from Blount and Winston Counties, Alabama:   Arrow and spear-heads, celts, grooved axes, hammer-stones, discoidal stones, paint-mortar, paint-stones, hematite sinker, fragments of potstone vessels, and of pottery, silver ornament (probably Spanish), and human and animal bones.--- ^[[rectangle]] Collection (surface-finds), from Blount and Colbert Counties, Alabama: Leaf-shaped implements, perforators, arrow and spear-heads, hammer-stones, chipped and polished celts, pestles, 1 stone bead, 1 bone implement, fragments of potstone vessels and of pottery.--- ^[[rectangle]] Collection from Colbert, Lauderdale, St. Clair and Blount Counties, Alabama: Rude and leaf-shaped implements, trimmed flakes, cutting tools; arrow and spear-heads, 1 muller, 2 boat-shaped objects 2 polished celts, and 2 large stone mortars.
