work. From material furnished by Mr. Francis Jordan Jr., of Philadelphia, I have composed an account of artificial shell deposits in Delaware, to be utilized in my forthcoming work. Being prevented for several days from reading and writing by an inflammation of the eyes, I spent the time in mounting a collection of choice specimens.
