[[underline]] P.L. Jouy, Yokohama, Japan.- [[/underline]] Collections from Yokohama, Tokio, and Omori: 24 rude chipped implements and fragments of polished celts from Yokohama; 6 rude chipped implements found 20 miles from Tokio; 35 fragments of bones and 4 shells from the shell-heaps at Omori.- 71 specimens for exhibition. 
The shelves for the wall-case No 1 to 7 have been made, and, when painted, will be used for exhibiting Californian specimens, more especially the collection received from the Wheeler surveys and those sent by Mr. Stephen Bowers.
The superintendence of the publication of my work on pre-historic fishing has taken up much of my time. There are now 203 pages printed - about two-thirds, exclusive of preface, list of illustrations and index.
