Mr. CLAY VAUGHAN, principal at Moberly, Missouri, has done service in the pulpit and in the schoolroom.

He entered Lincoln Institute in 1871 and spent seven years here, finishing the course in 1878. Upon returning home, Paris, Missouri, he was elected principal of the school there, and was simultaneously "called" to the pastorate of the Baptist church there. These two positions he held until he was called to the pastorate of Morgan Street Baptist church in Booneville, Mo. Still clinging to the profession of teaching, he taught at Old Franklin and New Franklin while yet holding his charges.
