Conclusion

The task of selecting that which is best as highpoints to be presented from so much in a community that is rich in background, tradition and folklore is not an easy one. The fine tradition and heritage of the Birney School community can be sustained in principle through the united efforts of all churches, associations, homes and the school working together in their efforts in making wise use of all human rights of the individual, in working for the full use of all civic liberties of the group, and withal, through the dignification of all our efforts in helping to establish and enforce those basic principles upon which a community is well founded.

All other issues of BIRNEY LIFE MAGAZINE have materials in the main made up of the work of the children themselves. But in this issue are the contributions from each member of the Birney School Staff with our hope that its contents will inspire you to delve more into the history of this community and learning for yourselves the utter selflessness of the first settlers here in making for this community a good place in which to live.

Our children must know the best of those who have gone on. They must imitate the best which the forebearers of this community presented to this settlement. We as adults must help develop a better race in our children who through you must learn and practice the best. The history of this community offers a challenge which we of the Birney School faculty hope you will accept in mkaing for this community a fine and wholesome community in which to live.
