[[underline]]J.W. Rogan, Hawkins County, Tennessee.[[/underline]]---Two small arrow-heads from Rogersville.

cannel-coal, found under the surface in Ross. Township, Butler County, Ohio.  The cast was sent by Mr. J.P. MacLean, and the original is figured on p. 167 of his "Mound Builders" (Cincinnati, 1879).

The specimen acquired from Mr. Nissley is on account of its size, regular form, peculiar material, and perfect state of preservation, a most valuable addition to the archaeological collection of the National Museum.

[[underline]]J.P. MacLean, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio.[[/underline]]---A cast of a tablet bearing incised figures somewhat analogous to those on the well-known "Cincinnati Tablet."  The original consists of compact Waverly sandstone of a bluish-gray color in the fracture.  The polished surfaces are a light-brown color, apparently produced b by the material used in polishing.  The specimen was found in a mound near Waverly, Pike County, Ohio.  It was sent by Mr. MacLean to the National Museum for the purpose of having it cast.

[[underline]]E.H. Vaughan, Roanoke, Lewis County, West Virginia.[[/underline]]---A clay pipe, and 3 fragments of pottery, all from a mound in Montgomery County, Virginia: 5 specimens for exhibition.

[[underline]] W.M. Linney, Harrodsburgh, Mercer County, Kentucky.-[[/underline]] A cast of a large flat-sided grooved axe; the original found in Indiana, and a cast of a discoidal stone of unusual size (early 7 1-2 inches in dameter), the original from Eastern Tennessee.  The casts were taken in the National Museum.

[[underline]]A.E. Douglass, New York.[[/underline]]---A cast of a large pipe of greenish steatitic material, not unlike serpentine.  It presents the form of a tube surmounted by the figure of a duck.  Found in a mound at Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky.  This very fine specimen is des-
